# Inspired Rewards vs Hey Chef

The clearest difference is rating: Inspired Rewards at 5.0 against Hey Chef's 4.3. Hey Chef's advantage is review sentiment (53% vs 25%) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Inspired Rewards holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 2 and 7 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of Inspired Rewards's written reviews are positive against 53% of Hey Chef's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Inspired Rewards ships an update every 2 months, Hey Chef every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
