# SmartPref Pro vs myPreferans

The clearest difference is ads: myPreferans at none against SmartPref Pro's shown. myPreferans also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). SmartPref Pro's advantage is ratings volume (247 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.5 vs 26.5). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SmartPref Pro sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and myPreferans sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

myPreferans holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SmartPref Pro has 247 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
