# NordPass vs Bean Tracker

The clearest difference is rating: NordPass at 4.7 against Bean Tracker's 4.0. NordPass also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (monthly vs every 8 months). Bean Tracker's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 16) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 18.0). On price, review sentiment and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NordPass sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Bean Tracker asks for nothing beyond the download.

NordPass holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NordPass has 13K ratings behind it against 41, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 46% of NordPass's written reviews are positive against 53% of Bean Tracker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

NordPass ships an update monthly, Bean Tracker every 8 months. Both last shipped on October 21, 2026.
