# Beat Maker vs Tracklib

The clearest difference is monetization model: Beat Maker at free with in-app purchases against Tracklib's subscription. Beat Maker also leads on rating (4.5 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (1.8K vs 325). Tracklib's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Beat Maker sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Tracklib sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Beat Maker holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Beat Maker has 1.8K ratings behind it against 325, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 39% of Beat Maker's written reviews are positive against 36% of Tracklib's.

Beat Maker ships an update monthly, Tracklib every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
