# LaTeX Editor Tex Pro vs One Markdown

LaTeX Editor Tex Pro and One Markdown both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 82% of One Markdown's written reviews are positive against 51% of LaTeX Editor Tex Pro's. One Markdown also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs paid) and device support (4 vs 2). LaTeX Editor Tex Pro's advantage is ratings volume (1.7K vs 149). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LaTeX Editor Tex Pro sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and One Markdown sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

LaTeX Editor Tex Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LaTeX Editor Tex Pro has 1.7K ratings behind it against 149, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 51% of LaTeX Editor Tex Pro's written reviews are positive against 82% of One Markdown's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

LaTeX Editor Tex Pro ships an update every 2 months, One Markdown monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
