# LaTeX Editor Tex Pro vs Conwrite

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Conwrite at 93% against LaTeX Editor Tex Pro's 51%. Conwrite also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs paid). LaTeX Editor Tex Pro's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (1.7K vs 24). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LaTeX Editor Tex Pro sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Conwrite sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

LaTeX Editor Tex Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LaTeX Editor Tex Pro has 1.7K ratings behind it against 24, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 51% of LaTeX Editor Tex Pro's written reviews are positive against 93% of Conwrite's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

LaTeX Editor Tex Pro ships an update every 2 months, Conwrite fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
