# ivie vs Velociped Guide

ivie and Velociped Guide both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Velociped Guide's written reviews are positive against 49% of ivie's. Velociped Guide also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). ivie's advantage is ratings volume (554 vs 3) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ivie holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ivie has 554 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 49% of ivie's written reviews are positive against 100% of Velociped Guide's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ivie ships an update every 3 weeks, Velociped Guide every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
