# GATA Rewards vs Varsity Network

The clearest difference is rating: GATA Rewards at 5.0 against Varsity Network's 3.0. GATA Rewards also leads on monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (13.4 vs 16.4). Varsity Network's advantage is ratings volume (548 vs 8) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 8 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

GATA Rewards holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Varsity Network has 548 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two.

GATA Rewards ships an update every 8 months, Varsity Network every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
