# A2 vs Vögel

The clearest difference is update cadence: Vögel at fortnightly against A2's every 24 months. A2's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.1 vs 16.4). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

A2 ships an update every 24 months, Vögel fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
