# TimeTracker vs TimeTracker Pro

The clearest difference is monetization model: TimeTracker Pro at free with in-app purchases against TimeTracker's subscription. TimeTracker Pro also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.5 vs 4.2). TimeTracker's advantage is iOS requirement (10.3 vs 15.0). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TimeTracker sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per month and TimeTracker Pro sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TimeTracker Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 33 and 132 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 65% of TimeTracker's written reviews are positive against 64% of TimeTracker Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

TimeTracker ships an update every 3 weeks, TimeTracker Pro monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
