# Slime Runner vs Legacy Wizard

The clearest difference is update cadence: Slime Runner at every 6 weeks against Legacy Wizard's every 3 months. Slime Runner also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Slime Runner sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Legacy Wizard sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Slime Runner ships an update every 6 weeks, Legacy Wizard every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
