# Instant Connect ™ vs My Gourmate

The clearest difference is rating: Instant Connect ™ at 4.6 against My Gourmate's 2.4. Instant Connect ™ also leads on ratings volume (11K vs 11). My Gourmate's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and review sentiment (43% vs 32%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Instant Connect ™ holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Instant Connect ™ has 11K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 32% of Instant Connect ™'s written reviews are positive against 43% of My Gourmate's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Instant Connect ™ ships an update fortnightly, My Gourmate every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
