# NaturalReader vs Audibly

The clearest difference is ads: NaturalReader at none against Audibly's shown. NaturalReader also leads on ratings volume (9.2K vs 4) and chart position (#134 vs unranked). Audibly's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and review sentiment (100% vs 71%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NaturalReader sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Audibly sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Audibly holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NaturalReader has 9.2K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
