# Pic vs Petsense

The clearest difference is rating: Pic at 4.6 against Petsense's 4.3. Pic also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and ratings volume (74 vs 8). Petsense's advantage is update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Pic holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pic has 74 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Pic ships an update every 2 months, Petsense every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
