# Vixer vs Final Cut Pro

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Vixer at 81% against Final Cut Pro's 35%. Vixer also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.4) and ratings volume (67K vs 3.2K). Final Cut Pro's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Vixer sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Final Cut Pro sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Vixer holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Vixer has 67K ratings behind it against 3.2K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 81% of Vixer's written reviews are positive against 35% of Final Cut Pro's.

Vixer ships an update every 3 weeks, Final Cut Pro every 2 months. Both last shipped on November 1, 2026.
