# EQ Timing vs Race Timer

The clearest difference is update cadence: Race Timer at every 5 weeks against EQ Timing's every 24 months. EQ Timing's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

EQ Timing ships an update every 24 months, Race Timer every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 19, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
