# Printer vs SubPrinta Sublimation Designer

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Printer at 67% against SubPrinta Sublimation Designer's 15%. Printer also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription). SubPrinta Sublimation Designer's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.6 vs 4.2). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Printer sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and SubPrinta Sublimation Designer sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SubPrinta Sublimation Designer holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 994 and 912 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Printer's written reviews are positive against 15% of SubPrinta Sublimation Designer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. Both last shipped on October 17, 2026.
