# Shaghlaty vs tamata

Shaghlaty and tamata both sit at 4.1 stars, but that hides the real split: 77% of Shaghlaty's written reviews are positive against 34% of tamata's. Shaghlaty also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 weeks). tamata's advantage is ratings volume (1.4K vs 186). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

tamata holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: tamata has 1.4K ratings behind it against 186, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 77% of Shaghlaty's written reviews are positive against 34% of tamata's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Shaghlaty ships an update every 5 days, tamata every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
