# Petroleum Dictionary vs KICKDRILL

The clearest difference is rating: KICKDRILL at 5.0 against Petroleum Dictionary's 4.4. KICKDRILL also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 9 months). Petroleum Dictionary's advantage is ratings volume (9 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Petroleum Dictionary sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and KICKDRILL sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

KICKDRILL holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Petroleum Dictionary has 9 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Petroleum Dictionary ships an update every 9 months, KICKDRILL every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
