# Dermis Defense vs Virus Evolution

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Dermis Defense at none against Virus Evolution's 9. Dermis Defense also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (50% vs 32%). Virus Evolution's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (866 vs 5). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Virus Evolution sells 9 one-off in-app purchases. Dermis Defense asks for nothing beyond the download.

Virus Evolution holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Virus Evolution has 866 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Dermis Defense's written reviews are positive against 32% of Virus Evolution's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
