# Classic vs MNGA

The clearest difference is rating: Classic at 5.0 against MNGA's 4.6. Classic also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.4). MNGA's advantage is ratings volume (92 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Classic sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per year and MNGA sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Classic holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MNGA has 92 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of Classic's written reviews are positive against 88% of MNGA's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Classic ships an update fortnightly, MNGA every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
