# Beer Buddy vs OffScript

Beer Buddy and OffScript both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of OffScript's written reviews are positive against 65% of Beer Buddy's. OffScript also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). Beer Buddy's advantage is ratings volume (115K vs 10) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 2 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Beer Buddy sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and OffScript sells 19 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Beer Buddy against 4.9 for OffScript. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Beer Buddy has 115K ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 65% of Beer Buddy's written reviews are positive against 100% of OffScript's.

Beer Buddy ships an update every 10 days, OffScript every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
