# Craft vs NotePlan

The clearest difference is monetization model: Craft at free with in-app purchases against NotePlan's subscription. Craft also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs monthly) and ratings volume (6.6K vs 1.5K). NotePlan's advantage is iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Craft sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and NotePlan sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Craft against 4.8 for NotePlan. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 6.6K and 1.5K respectively. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 85% and 85% positive.

Craft ships an update every 10 days, NotePlan monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
