# Craft vs Freedcamp Chat

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Freedcamp Chat at none against Craft's 10. Freedcamp Chat also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). Craft's advantage is review sentiment (85% vs 50%) and ratings volume (6.6K vs 1). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Craft sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Freedcamp Chat asks for nothing beyond the download.

Freedcamp Chat holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Craft has 6.6K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 85% of Craft's written reviews are positive against 50% of Freedcamp Chat's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Craft ships an update every 10 days, Freedcamp Chat every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
