# Secure Video vs HideApp

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Secure Video at none against HideApp's 3. Secure Video also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). HideApp's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HideApp sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Secure Video asks for nothing beyond the download.

Secure Video ships an update every 2 months, HideApp every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 14, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
