# Houzz Pro vs Controllr

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Controllr at none against Houzz Pro's 15. Controllr also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). Houzz Pro's advantage is ratings volume (5K vs 9) and chart position (#135 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Houzz Pro sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $39.99 per month. Controllr asks for nothing beyond the download.

Controllr holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Houzz Pro has 5K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Houzz Pro ships an update every 8 days, Controllr fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
