# District vs STR

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: STR at none against District's 8. STR also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.4). On price, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. District sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. STR asks for nothing beyond the download.

District ships an update fortnightly, STR weekly. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
