# Professional Barometer vs Barometer..

The clearest difference is rating: Barometer.. at 5.0 against Professional Barometer's 4.3. Barometer.. also leads on iOS requirement (12.4 vs 17.0). Professional Barometer's advantage is ratings volume (13 vs 1) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Professional Barometer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Barometer.. sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.49 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Barometer.. holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Professional Barometer has 13 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
