# Functions vs Mini sheets

The clearest difference is update cadence: Functions at every 3 weeks against Mini sheets's every 2 months. Functions also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Functions sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.49 per month and Mini sheets sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Functions ships an update every 3 weeks, Mini sheets every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
