# VPN Sense vs Secure VPN

The clearest difference is ads: VPN Sense at none against Secure VPN's shown. Secure VPN's advantage is review sentiment (82% vs 53%) and update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly). On price, rating, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN Sense sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and Secure VPN sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for VPN Sense against 4.4 for Secure VPN. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 405 and 409 respectively. Written reviews are what separate them: 53% of VPN Sense's written reviews are positive against 82% of Secure VPN's.

VPN Sense ships an update fortnightly, Secure VPN weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
