# VPN Sense vs Speedster

The clearest difference is review sentiment: VPN Sense at 53% against Speedster's 33%. VPN Sense also leads on ratings volume (405 vs 18) and rating (4.4 vs 4.2). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN Sense sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and Speedster sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

VPN Sense holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN Sense has 405 ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 53% of VPN Sense's written reviews are positive against 33% of Speedster's.

VPN Sense ships an update fortnightly, Speedster every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
