# Virtual Background Camera vs Video Background Changer Pro

The clearest difference is rating: Video Background Changer Pro at 4.1 against Virtual Background Camera's 1.0. Video Background Changer Pro also leads on ratings volume (11 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13 vs 15.0). Virtual Background Camera's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Virtual Background Camera sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Video Background Changer Pro sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Video Background Changer Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Video Background Changer Pro has 11 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 6% of Virtual Background Camera's written reviews are positive against 0% of Video Background Changer Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Virtual Background Camera ships an update every 4 days, Video Background Changer Pro every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
