# PDF Document Scanner vs Notedrafts

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Notedrafts at 753 against PDF Document Scanner's 118. Notedrafts also leads on iOS requirement (17.6 vs 26.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PDF Document Scanner sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per 7 days and Notedrafts sells 11 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for PDF Document Scanner against 4.8 for Notedrafts. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Notedrafts has 753 ratings behind it against 118, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 74% of PDF Document Scanner's written reviews are positive against 81% of Notedrafts's.

PDF Document Scanner ships an update every 5 days, Notedrafts every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
