# Chicane vs SailTrax

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Chicane at none against SailTrax's 1. Chicane also leads on ratings volume (5 vs 1). SailTrax's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SailTrax sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Chicane asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Chicane against 5.0 for SailTrax. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Chicane has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and September 19, 2026 respectively.
