# TipMe Global vs TiPJAR

TipMe Global and TiPJAR both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 50% of TipMe Global's written reviews are positive against 32% of TiPJAR's. TipMe Global also leads on iOS requirement (12.4 vs 15.4). TiPJAR's advantage is ratings volume (105 vs 11) and update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

TiPJAR holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TiPJAR has 105 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of TipMe Global's written reviews are positive against 32% of TiPJAR's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

TipMe Global ships an update every 2 months, TiPJAR every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
