# FaxDeck vs FAX ®

The clearest difference is review sentiment: FAX ® at 80% against FaxDeck's 33%. FaxDeck's advantage is rating (2.5 vs 1.0) and in-app purchases (none vs 7). On price, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FAX ® sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. FaxDeck asks for nothing beyond the download.

FaxDeck holds the better App Store score, 2.5 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FaxDeck has 10 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of FaxDeck's written reviews are positive against 80% of FAX ®'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FaxDeck ships an update every 3 weeks, FAX ® every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
