# SatChannels vs DVB

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: SatChannels at none against DVB's 1. SatChannels also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). DVB's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 11 months). On price there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DVB sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. SatChannels asks for nothing beyond the download.

SatChannels ships an update every 11 months, DVB every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
