# iSCS Sentinel vs Smart Security Camera App

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: iSCS Sentinel at none against Smart Security Camera App's 3. iSCS Sentinel also leads on review sentiment (55% vs 25%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.6). Smart Security Camera App's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 months) and rating (4.7 vs 4.3). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Smart Security Camera App sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. iSCS Sentinel asks for nothing beyond the download.

Smart Security Camera App holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Smart Security Camera App has 2.5K ratings behind it against 28, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 55% of iSCS Sentinel's written reviews are positive against 25% of Smart Security Camera App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

iSCS Sentinel ships an update every 2 months, Smart Security Camera App every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
