# CPFlash vs Permanent Archive

The clearest difference is rating: Permanent Archive at 5.0 against CPFlash's 3.0. Permanent Archive also leads on update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (6 vs 1). CPFlash's advantage is monetization model (free vs paid) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Permanent Archive holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Permanent Archive has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

CPFlash ships an update every 5 months, Permanent Archive every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on June 24, 2026 and August 28, 2026 respectively.
