# DashCamConnect vs Z

The clearest difference is rating: DashCamConnect at 4.0 against Z's 2.3. Z's advantage is ratings volume (72 vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

DashCamConnect holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Z has 72 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

DashCamConnect ships an update every 5 weeks, Z every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
