# MAUVAIS vs DD Zone

The clearest difference is rating: MAUVAIS at 4.9 against DD Zone's 4.0. MAUVAIS also leads on ratings volume (806 vs 4). DD Zone's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 weeks). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

MAUVAIS holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MAUVAIS has 806 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 78% of MAUVAIS's written reviews are positive against 86% of DD Zone's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MAUVAIS ships an update every 5 weeks, DD Zone every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
