# Wolfy vs Werewolf

The clearest difference is rating: Wolfy at 4.5 against Werewolf's 3.3. Wolfy also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (54 vs 3). Werewolf's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Wolfy sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $2.90 per month and Werewolf sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Wolfy holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wolfy has 54 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of Wolfy's written reviews are positive against 73% of Werewolf's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Wolfy ships an update every 3 weeks, Werewolf every 5 months. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
