# Scan Now vs Max

The clearest difference is update cadence: Scan Now at every 9 days against Max's every 3 weeks. Scan Now also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.5 vs 18.1). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Scan Now sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and Max sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $24.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
