# hvv switch vs mopla

The clearest difference is rating: hvv switch at 4.4 against mopla's 2.3. hvv switch also leads on ratings volume (789 vs 13). mopla's advantage is review sentiment (58% vs 27%) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

hvv switch holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: hvv switch has 789 ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 27% of hvv switch's written reviews are positive against 58% of mopla's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
