# Word Blitz ･ vs Brainchain

The clearest difference is rating: Word Blitz ･ at 4.7 against Brainchain's 4.0. Word Blitz ･ also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (45K vs 1). Brainchain's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Word Blitz ･ sells 11 one-off in-app purchases and Brainchain sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Word Blitz ･ holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Word Blitz ･ has 45K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Word Blitz ･ ships an update every 3 weeks, Brainchain every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
