# Mozilla VPN vs Clerky

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Clerky at none against Mozilla VPN's 3. Clerky also leads on update cadence (weekly vs monthly). Mozilla VPN's advantage is rating (3.4 vs 3.0) and ratings volume (503 vs 2). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mozilla VPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Clerky asks for nothing beyond the download.

Mozilla VPN holds the better App Store score, 3.4 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mozilla VPN has 503 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Mozilla VPN ships an update monthly, Clerky weekly. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
