# Flatmates vs Gay Share

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Gay Share at 50% against Flatmates's 17%. Gay Share also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). Flatmates's advantage is ratings volume (58 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flatmates sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Gay Share sells 9 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Gay Share holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flatmates has 58 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 17% of Flatmates's written reviews are positive against 50% of Gay Share's.

Flatmates ships an update monthly, Gay Share every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
