# UPX Private Browser vs Top Scanner

The clearest difference is rating: Top Scanner at 5.0 against UPX Private Browser's 4.6. Top Scanner also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). UPX Private Browser's advantage is ratings volume (8.9K vs 8). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. UPX Private Browser sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Top Scanner sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Top Scanner holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: UPX Private Browser has 8.9K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
