# LW Pro vs HF GPS

The clearest difference is rating: LW Pro at 4.2 against HF GPS's 3.0. LW Pro also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (13 vs 2). HF GPS's advantage is iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.6). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

LW Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LW Pro has 13 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 29% of LW Pro's written reviews are positive against 30% of HF GPS's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

LW Pro ships an update every 3 weeks, HF GPS every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and September 16, 2026 respectively.
