# Faves vs Shortake

The clearest difference is rating: Faves at 4.5 against Shortake's 3.5. Faves also leads on ratings volume (17K vs 2) and chart position (#157 vs unranked). Shortake's advantage is review sentiment (79% vs 44%) and in-app purchases (none vs 15). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Faves sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Shortake asks for nothing beyond the download.

Faves holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Faves has 17K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 44% of Faves's written reviews are positive against 79% of Shortake's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Faves ships an update every 6 weeks, Shortake weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
